FOREVER GREEN

The building owner, bcIMC Realty Corporation, and Bentall Kennedy LP, the developer and property manager, have a long standing commitment to the environment and are dedicated to sustainable property performance. The aim is to reduce the environmental impacts from operations and manage associated risks in a prudent manner. The underlying philosophy is one of "internal responsibility", recognizing the importance of effective communication, consultation and cooperation in the area of environmental stewardship. Strategically, we advance programs that reduce energy and water use, minimize waste, and contribute to overall health and well being. We believe that our efforts in these areas help influence markets for greater sustainable products and services. We are committed to leadership and the continuous advancement of the commercial real estate industry in the area of sustainability.

Some of the specific green features of Jamieson Place are as follows:

• Jamieson Place has acquired Gold certification for LEED Core and Shell.

  • • Jamieson Place will run on 100% green power, including wind.
  •

• The heating, cooling and lighting systems will provide long term energy cost benefits.

• The building’s central location right by the C-Train and Bow River Trails allows for easy transit and bike commuting.

• The installation of low flow fixtures reduces the amount of water required for indoor plumbing by 40%.

• The speculative office spaces have excellent indoor air quality (IAQ) offering improved occupant health and comfort, decreased absenteeism and sick building syndrome. Excellent IAQ was achieved by using low emitting paints, coatings, adhesives and sealants within the building and thoroughly protecting the spaces from dust and debris during construction.

• Some of the energy efficiency measures include: high performance curtain wall with low-e windows, modulating boilers and chillers, variable speed pumps and a water-side economizer.
